女孩和父母过马路时，遭超速车辆碾轧，命丧黄泉

沙迦：一名政府官员告诉GulfNews：周五，于AI  Istqlal区，一名8岁的印度籍女孩在过马路时被超速车辆碾轧，当场死亡。

官员说：警方和救护人员接到报警电话后，于当天晚上9点赶到事故现场。事故发生时，女孩正和她的父母一起准备穿过AlIstqlal广场的一条马路。女孩和她的家人罔顾旁边的人行道，走在非人行道路上。

警方说肇事司机超速驾驶，才会导致如此惨剧发生。

据警察局，目前犯罪嫌疑人已被拘留审问。

警方号召所有的父母遵守交通规则，注意交通安全。也呼吁所有的司机在遇到行人时主动礼让。

Policepatrolandparamedicsarrivedatthesceneaftertheywerealertedaround9pm.ThechildwaswithherfamilywhentheaccidentoccurredbetweentheimmigrationandAlIstqlalSquaretrafficsignal,theofficialsaid.

Thegirlandherfamilywerecrossingtheroadfromanundesignatedareaeventhoughapedestriancrossingwasnearby.

Policesaidthedriverwhocausedtheaccidentwasspeeding.

“ThedriverisincustodyandisbeingquestionedatAlGharbpolicestation,”theofficialsaid.

SharjahPoliceappealedtoallparentstoobserveroadsafetyrulesandaskeddriverstogiveprioritytopeoplecrossingroads.
