为什么需要重新注册SIM卡？

迪拜：没有与电讯公司注册更新SIM卡信息的居民可能会面临切断电话服务。

与etisalat和du运营商注册其SIM卡要符合电信管理局（TRA）2012年推出的“我的号码，我的身份”应用程序。

该程序要求所有用户用有效的阿联酋身份证及每一连接签证来登记SIM卡。这样做是为了保护居民的权利和提高电话服务的保密度以及避免电话欺诈案出现。

但是，由于过去两年注册的SIM卡文件现在已经过期或即将过期，电信管理局已要求居民使用更新文件更新他们的信息重新注册SIM卡。

DU的发言人声称“SIM卡的有效性取决于注册的SIM卡的特定文档有效性。这包括护照，签证或阿联酋身份证。”

Etisalat在一份声明中宣称：“保持更新所有移动客户的登记记录是阿联酋的监管框架部分职责所在。”

手机用户客户可以应携带其原有的阿联酋身份证和有效签证护照来到任何Etisalat或DU的服务中心更新信息。

TheprogrammerequiresallsubscriberstoregistertheirSIMcardsusingavalid

EmiratesIDandvisaforeachconnection.Thisisdonetoprotecttheirrightsand

confidentialityandtoavoidfraudcases.

ButsincedocumentsusedtoregistertheSIMcardsinthelasttwoyearswouldhave

expiredbynoworareabouttoexpire,theTRAhasrequiredresidentstore-register

theirSIMcardsbyupdatingtheirinformationusingthereneweddocuments.

“ThevalidityoftheSIMcardisdependentonthevalidityoftheparticulardocument

thattheSIMcardwasregisteredwith.Thisincludesapassport,visaorEmiratesID,”aspokespersonfromdusaid.

EtisalatsaidinastatementthatkeepingupdatedregistrationrecordsforallitsmobilecustomersispartoftheUAE’sregulatoryframework.

“Inlightofthat,incaseacustomer’sregistrationdocumentsordetails,suchasIDorpassport,thathehasusedinpurchasingamobiletelecomservicebecomesexpiredwhileheisconsumingthemobiletelecomservice,theseexpireddocumentsordetailsneedstobeupdated,”etisalatadded.

“Assuch,etisalatsendsSMSstoremindcustomerswhohavetheirregistration

documentsapproachingexpiryorexpiredtosharetheirupdatednewdocumentsor

detailswithEtisalattocontinueenjoyingtheirmobileservice,”etisalatadded.

Inthecaseofducustomers,theywillbenotifiedoftheexpiryonthreeseparate

occasionsviaatextmessagetoensureconvenience.ThefirstSMSissentout30dayspriortotheexpiryofthedocument,secondSMSissentonthedatethatthedocumentexpires,andthethirdSMSissenttothecustomer15daysbeforetheirduaccountissuspended.

MobilephoneuserscanvisitanyetisalatorduservicecentreandbringtheircustomersshouldbringtheiroriginalEmiratesIDandpassportwithavalidvisatoupdatetheirinformation.
